MOB basketball

The boys both played MOB basketball again this year with Garrett coaching both their teams. The both ended up having red jerseys and always played on the same nights. It was another fun season of basketball! Go hosiers and Crimson Tide.

NYE 2017

Annie had a super fun New Year's Eve this year. She got to ride in a limo with friends to go see Jumanji and then back to Ryan's house for games and snacks. It is hard to believe she is old enough to do something of this sort... She had tons of fun!

After Christmas

After Christmas, Annie went to Dallas with Chase and Carli for a few days so me and the boys went to the movies and spent some quality time together. Instead of meeting back to pick up Annie, she flew home on her own and had so much fun doing so! She is so big!

Christmas Eve family traditions

This year for Christmas Eve as a family of five, we went to see "The Star" and to eat at Texas Roadhouse. It was a cute movie and the food was super yummy. We each enjoyed our new movie cups and popcorn buckets at the theater. When we got home, the kids each got to open a present. Since Santa brought Tess early this year, we spent Christmas Eve going to bed earlier than normal and slept until 8am on Christmas morning. Merry Christmas!

Luft Christmas

We celebrated with Garrett's family on Christmas Eve. We ate a big breakfast together, went and got pedicures as a family, open gifts, and then attended the Christmas Eve candlelight service at Monterey. It was a special day of family fun! Hudson wanted his picture taken with everything he got that day from Pops and Susu!

Midland Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with my family this year in Midland. We went down for the night the day the kids got out for Christmas break and our family slept in the camper in front of Shelley's house. It was a good time and we enjoyed GranMary getting to join us. Christmas 2017 in the books!

Hayden's class Christmas party

Hudson didn't want his picture taken during his class party. Hayden of course did! He ate pizza and snacks, iced a Christmas cookie, and plated a game with Mrs. Garcia. It was a great way to start Christmas break!

Annie's rocket

In PLTW (Project Lead the Way), Annie created a rocket and launched it during the school day. Middle school has been a big change for her and classes like PLTW have made the transition easier. She really enjoys the class and enjoys projects like this. She made a watermelon rocket!

Christmas elves

Christmas is upon us and we are all super excited! Susu surprised the kids today with personalized elves from Trade Days. They love them!

Master's Degree graduation

Garrett and I started our Master's degrees together in the Fall of 2015. He graduated in December of 2016 after zooming through the degree and I took the slower track and graduated in December 2017. I am not certain what I will do with this degree, but I am glad to have it and glad to be done with school! Graduation night was special with family and it felt good to accomplish something of this sort.

Tess Luft

Tess was born on October 19, 2017 and came to live with us when she was 7 weeks old on December 7, 2017. She is precious and we are all super excited to have her!

Graduation dinner

As part of our final semester at LCU, we had a graduation dinner to honor all the graduates and to get some final information for graduation. I enjoyed finishing this degree with Haley and Whitney. Going through LCU was enjoyable and made me kind of wish I would have gone there for my undergrad degree.
